World Snowboard Tour – 12/13 Season Trailer

With the 2012/13 southern hemisphere season already underway, the World Snowboard Tour begins to head North. The first 6Star event of the 2012/2013 season is the Oakley Air&Style Beijing, which goes down at the infamous Birds Nest on the 1st of December.

2012 marks a turning point if competitive freestyle snowboarding history as the TTR World Tour evolved into THE World Snowboard Tour. Comprising of over 350 events over 5 continents, no other tour even comes close.

TTR Oakley Shaun White Air & Style Beijing 2011 – Wrap Up

Ulrik Badertscher (NOR) won the Oakley Shaun White Air & Style Beijing competition in the Olympic Bird's Nest stadium tonight, followed by 2 Norwegian wingmen Torstein Horgmo and Stale Sandbech. Ulrik received the coveted Air & Style Ring of Glory and 1,000 TTR World Ranking points.Ulrik's winning run was a very clean backside rodeo 1260, which was also awarded Red Bull's Best Trick. Torstein Horgmo commented: 'Norway did OK today. There is no secret to it, we just all got juiced and we just follow some bad ass dudes, we just try to keep up.'Favorites Sebastien Toutant (CAN) and Seppe Smits (BEL) both failed to reach the podium like last year. Seppe had the best results in the first round, but didn't manage to land his three attempts in the second round. Seb's cab 1260 double cork wasn't good enough to beat Ulrik's smooth double backside rodeo 12 Indy Grab, which gave him the highest score of the second round.

Riders get ready for World Snowboard Tour Finals at the Burton US Open 2013

The Burton US Open in Vail, CO marks the season’s end for all Women’s disciplines, as well as for the Men’s Slopestyle in the World Snowboard Tour 2012/13. The best riders in the world are competing in both Halfpipe and Slopestyle from February 25th to March 2nd, including Iouri Podladtchikov (SUI), Shaun White (USA), Ayumu Hirano (JPN), Mark McMorris (CAN), Peetu Piiroinen (FIN), Ståle Sandbech (NOR), Jamie Anderson (USA), Kelly Clark (USA), Elena Hight (USA), and many more. Since the Burton US Open is a 6Star event, all riders have the chance to earn 1.000 World Snowboard Tour Points, and influence their Rankings last minute.
