TTR Is Settling The Score At Burton NZ Open

Following the successful launch of the Snowboarding Live Scoring System䋢 at The Oakley Arctic Challenge slopestyle last winter, major events on the Swatch TTR World Tour have agreed to work together to expand and implement the system for all halfpipe, slopestyle and big air competitions for the upcoming 2010/11 season.

Now in it's eighth year, the BNZO, which runs over 5 days and offers a NZ$50,000 prize purse, consists of both Slopestyle and Halfpipe. All comers can battle it through pre-qualifiers and qualifiers running Weds 11th and Thurs 12th August, for the few available spots to compete alongside the elite riders who are seeded directly to the semi-finals stage. The semi-finals and finals of Slopestyle run on Friday 13th and Halfpipe on Saturday 14th August. Official training for the event starts Tuesday 10th August.

Shaun White's double corks win the Swatch TTR New Zealand Open 2009 Halfpipe Finals. This is one of the best halfpipe runs ever performed in a BGOS snowboarding championships event. Tricks: Frontside lien air, to backside 900 melon, followed by a frontside 1080 stalefish, into a Cab double cork 1080 stalefish, to frontside double cork 900.
