TTR 10TH Red Bull Nanshan Open – Teaser

Celebrating its tenth birthday this year, the legendary Red Bull Nanshan Open becomes a 5Star TTR event in 2012 to become the largest slopestyle event in Asia. Twenty-two international invited pros will compete with seven locally qualified riders on a specially designed slopestyle course in the Nike Nanshan Park. The two day competition held January 14th – 15th attracts widespread international media attention and national TV coverage, making a huge impact on the nation’s snowboard scene. Catch some of the world’s top snowboarders battle it out for US$50,000 prize money, global TTR ranking points and of course…fame and glory! This year sees the addition of live TV coverage for the event, a first for a slopestyle event on Chinese television. Roope Tonteri finishes 3rd at the 10th Red Bull Nanshan Open

Roope Tonteri (FIN) unfortunately was unable to stomp what could have been a first place run, landing a cab900 indy but reverting out on his impressive bs1260 mute attempt -- still finishing his run off in style with a switch boardslide 270out on the polejam and a lipslide 270out on the downrail, enough for third place. The TTR Worldtour Slopestyle Ranking sees Roope Tonteri still holding on to his leading position, followed now by newcomers in the top 3 Sam Hulbert an Maxence Parrot (CAN).
