Seppe Smits Crowned TTR Big Air World Tour Champion 2011/12

Seppe Smits (BEL) takes the TTR Big Air Tour Trophy 2012 home, after coming in second at the 6Star TTR Billabong Air & Style in Innsbruck.’Winning the Big Air Tour Trophy was unexpected, I was very happily surprised.’ commented Seppe Smits. Congratulations came immediately from 3 time TTR Tour winner Peetu, who won tonight with a clean and stylish Backside 1260 mute grab. Peetu is back after wrestling with injury, but is again landing all his tricks with his exceptional ease. He responded: ‘It was a great night, and it felt really good being here. This was definitely one of the hardest competitions for me, with everyone stomping it.’By winning the first ever TTR Big Air World Tour title Seppe ensures his place in the history books. Thanks to a great performance throughout the season he managed to beat favorite Eric Willett to the number one spot. Next, we’ll see Seppe focus on the TTR Slopestyle Tour Title and perhaps even the TTR Overall Tour Title. Under brazenly perfect weather conditions, the international freestyle community celebrated the ninth edition of the Horsefeathers Pleasure Jam in the Horsefeathers Superpark Dachstein one of the best ones ever! At an unprecedented level, the snowboard elite was battling for the victory of this TTR 4Star contest in the perfectly shaped park. After a two day trick fireworks, the Belgian Seppe Smits and Aimee Fuller from Great Britain were smiling down from the top of the podium as winners of the Super Finals. The only 19-year old Mathias Weissenbacher caused a sensation in reaching the third rank!

Caught up with Torstein Horgmo, Sage, Eric, Seppe & Stale at the Sprint Grand Prix 2013

We caught up with familiar faces on the World Snowboard Tour while they're competing at the 5Star Sprint U.S. Snowboarding Grand Prix at Copper Mountain Colorado. Torstein Horgmo, Sage Kotsenburg, Eric Willett, Seppe Smits & Stale Sandbech all competed in the slopestyle qualifiers on Thursday and are stoked for finals on Friday the 11th of January.
