What is your favourite place to ride and why?
Its Davos, Arosa, Laax and Grindelwald, i know this resort like my pocket, so i will always find a little stash of powder, or something else to have fun…
What age did you start snowboarding?
I was 12 years old back then in 1989.
What snowboarders do you most look up to?
Everybody that have fun while riding! But some of my idols are for sure Terje Haakonsen, Travis Rice, Nico Müller.
What do you focus on most – slopestyle? Pipe? Big Air?
This is a hard one. I guess Pipe in my age because i have been doing it almost all my life. The feeling of a big Backside Air is almost unbeatable.
What is your most memorable snowboarding experience?
Of course winning the Olympics in Nagano, get ISF World Champion for 2 Times but also winning the Nissan X Trail Big Air Competition in Tokyo against Travis Rice, Heiki Sorsa, Tadashi Fuse and all these guys was a big memory.
Your on the road a lot throughout the season – what is your favourite place to visit and why?
Home because, nothing feels like home!
What does a normal day consist of for you when your not snowboarding?
Checking E Mails, boring Office stuff and spend time with the family.
How has TTR affected your snowboarding career?
I was right in the middle when the transition from ISF to TTR happened and i am really stoked that snowboarding with TTR is still independent.
