The World Snowboard Guide was first published back in 1996, and was the first resort guide dedicated to fulfilling a snowboarders demands. Ski guides never discussed terrain parks and off-piste, never told you where the flat bits were, and snowboarding was just a word tacked onto the title to try and sell a few more copies. 14 years on and we have produced 11 editions of the book, and in 2000 we launched the website. The book has continually been highly praised, Document Snowboard call it “the best snowboard guidebook money can buy.” And Transworld Snowboarding Magazine say it is “easy to use and comprehensive”. The website now covers over 1000 resorts and 63 countries and all of our reviews have been written by our team, completely independent from what the resorts would like us to write. Last year we released the first book in our new series which will focus on an individual country; our Snow-search series combines an in-depth resort guide with all the travelling and background information you need when visiting a new country. Snow-search Japan is aimed towards like minded Skiers and Snowboarders who want to uncover some of the best powder anywhere in the world in this fascinating country, and is the first book covering Japan in over 20 years, it was also awarded the “Travel book of the year” at this years independent book publisher awards.
