Young Shredders Fight For Their ‘Ticket To Ride’ At Three(3)Star O2 World Rookie Fest


Neklid, Czech Republic, February 13th, 2008: Young riders from all over the world will be looking for their next Ticket to Ride in Neklid, Czech Republic at the Swatch TTR THREE(3)STAR O2 World Rookie Fest from February 14th to 17th 2008. The slopestyle event is reserved for riders born from Janury 1st 1990 onward and will provide each competitor with fun parties, avalanche clinics, and tons of free sponsorship gifts on top of high level competition. Most importantly, the O2 World Rookie Fest will assign 10 free tickets to the upcoming Voelkl World Rookie Fest in Austria, the final stop on the World Rookie Fest Tour. Big rookie names are set to show up in Neklid, including local Czech shredder Sarka Pancochova who was the female division winner at the previous THREE(3)STAR World Rookie Fest in Livigno, Italy. Pancochova currently sits at TTR World No. 13 and could move into the TTR Top 10 with a win in Neklid. Also announced to be competing is the Japanese team that includes Nakamura Takaaki, Motoki Yuki, and Teddy Koo, which will make things very interesting as these guys are known to rip. The entire British Junior Team has confirmed their presence in Neklid including Aimee Fuller and Jamie Nicholls, the latter sitting at TTR World No. 58 and could bump up to the TTR Top 50. Junior teams from Italy, Austria, and Holland will also be competing on the slopestyle set up which is looking good as the shapers prepare four table kickers that begin at 15m in length alongside a ton of rails to keep the trick combos interesting and the rookies on edge.The O2 World Rookie Fest 2008 is the second of three stops on the WSF Rookie Tour, and is the last event before the final stop in Austria, the Voelkl World Rookie Fest. Its in Austria where the WSF World Rookie Champion will be crowned, receiving a
