Calendar Announced . 13 Events in 2013 

The WSF World Rookie Tour announces today the calendar for 2013: it will include 13 international events all over the globe, from Europe to Asia and Oceania, from North to South America. The winners of the tour will be crowned as ‘World Rookie Champion’ and will be awarded with Onboard and Cooler photoshoots, video shoots with film production companies, invitations to world class events and snowboard freeride trips.   The World Rookie Tour will again showcase the future of snowboarding as well as start the search for the new stars of tomorrow. The events’ program will combine freestyle contests in slopestyle and halfpipe disciplines, with many other lifestyle activities offering a unique experience for all participants.

World Rookie Tour Rules

The title of World Rookie Champion 2013 will be awarded to the winner of the 3Star World Rookie Finals 2013 in Ischgl, Austria. This event is reserved to the top riders from previous Rookie Fests, plus selected riders from National Snowboard Associations and the top 20 riders, male and female, from the World Rookie Rank.

Age Groups

WSF rookie events are reserved to Rookies (born from 1st of January 1995 to 31st of December 1997) and Grom (born from 1st of January 1998 and up), both boys and girls. All contests of the World Rookie Tour will generate valuable results for the TTR World Snowboard Tour Ranks and for the World Rookie Rank developed by World Snowboard Federation in association with the TTR World Snowboard Tour.

The WSF World Rookie Tour is organized by the World Snowboard Federation in collaboration with its National Snowboard Associations, and it is made possible by REDBULL, supported by Tech Riders and CHUCKBUDDiES.
