A perfectly shaped snowpark, blue skies and motivated young snowboarders came to collect valuable TTR points at the 2Star Protest Rookie Slam in Avoriaz. In order to participate in the final of the World Rookie Tour in Austria riders have to collect enough points and that’s just what they did at this event. English, Swiss and French kids aged 9 to 17 years threw down in the snowpark of La Chapelle in Avoriaz. The Protest Rookie Slam allowed young snowboarders to show their talent as well as their technical tricks which included Cab 540’s, 720’s, 540’s and rodeo 7’s. Swiss Mickael Shärer took home the Boys Rookie win and Simon Burki dominated the Boys Grom rider field. French Paul Veron came in 4th. For girls it was French Chloe Sillieres who took home the win with the following run: Cab 180, front 360, tail bonk on the golf ball and back side board slide on the box.
