Qualification Session At Swatch TTR Red Bull Nanshan Open Primes China For Finals

Beijing, CHINA – No one could have asked for anything more. The weather was beautiful, the temperature was just right, the riding was insane, and the crowd was amped for the first day of Swatch TTR FOUR(4)STAR Red Bull Nanshan Open. Local riders hit the slopes with fourteen international pros for the qualifying round where the top eleven riders advance into tomorrows competition. Peter Koenig (AUT) was the stand-out rider of the day stomping a huge 900 to 720 combo. First runner up was Freddy Austbo (NOR) who was actually the most fluid of the bunch. His three runs were all flawless placing him in second, with the most stylish FS 3s and 5s and a giant alley-oop 360s on the hip. His Quiksilver brother Jakob Wilhelmson (SWE) followed him in third with a killer BS 180 Japan Shifty-Shifty over the entire hip, and adding to his run super clean BS 540s off the kickers. 11 Qualified Riders for tomorrows finals:1.
