Of the ten men who qualified for the finals earlier in the night, it was Canada’s Maxence Parrot who took the win with an impressive 96.50 for a near perfect backside Triple Cork 1440 Mute grab; and will be going home with $15000. Parrot who placed 5th in Friday’s 5Star Slopestyle contest comment on his winning trick, “I was really surprised to stomp the triple the first try, I brought it around very fast but it was difficult.” said Parrot, “I am only use to doing it on a lot bigger jumps than this one.” He added. Parrot won a silver medal in Slopestyle at the 6Star X Games Aspen this past January as well as taking first place at the O’Neill Evolution Big Air the week before.

Standing next to Parrot on the podium was Kim Rune Hansen from Norway who executed an impressive switch backside double cork 1260 mute grab on his second run that scored a 93.25. Hansen took 3<s

Morgan scored a 90.25 for a switch backside double cork 1260 stalefish. “I thought the jump was perfect, it was such a good jump for progression, all night everyone was having fun, I was having fun, it could not have been better.” Said Morgan, “I got to say, I look forward to this event every year because this event is so big, the jumps are huge and the riders are so much fun to ride with, I love it.” he added.

The 5Star Monster Energy Shred Show has come to and end and we look forward to seeing the sponsors, athletes and crowds in Whistler this time next year for what will surely be another spectacular showing of snowboarding talent.

Fortune was shining on us though, and eventually the sun was too. After a brief hold while a cloud raced through, the sky cracked open allowing a clear final heat consiting of two runs down the Blackcomb Terrain Park slopestyle course.

Straight out of the gate the competition was heated and several riders put down runs that could have put them on the podium, but in the end it was Norway’s Emil Ulsletten

order propecia online cheap

who edged out American Eric Willett for the top spot and $15k. In his first win of the season Ulsletten used the 3 rail features and 3 jumps to pull off a sick run that included 2 stylish double corks. Canadian Tyler Nicholson pulled together a solid run after a nasty crash during qualifiers to reach the last spot on the podium.

The consistently improving weather has the stage set for Saturday night’s TTR 5-Star Big Air contest in the Whistler Village where another 25 thousand dollars will be given away. Stay tuned.

The World Ski and Snowboard Festival is bringing in artists like Nas, and Monster Energy is bringing some of the world’s best snowboarders to compete in the World Snowboard Tour 5-star slopestyle and Big Air and the hugely popular Boarderstyle event that this year features even more freestyle features!

Now in its third year, and second as a TTR 5Star event, The Shred Show is giving the people what they want. Our Slopstyle course is as good as they get and after a process of consulting with the riders, the big air will be built to give the riders the best possible venue for their hardest tricks. With $50,000 dollar

cheap cialis without prescription

s on the line you can bet they’ll be throwing down!

Boarderstyle was invented here and we do it best. This combination of mandatory spins and flat-‐out speed is a crowd favourite and led legendary snowboarder (and last year’s runner up) Terje Haakonsen to call it the sport that boardercross should be. This year there will be twice as many freestyle sections to challenge the competitors and when the dust settles one man will stand tall as victor.

Of course Monster Energy is bringing all of this to you, so the parties, music and Monster Girls will all be on point. Expect to see Monster Athletes, personalities and special guests around the village as we celebrate Spring in the best mountain town on the planet.

Jenson impressed the judges (which included guest snowboard legend Chad Otterstrom) all day long with her variety of style and progression. Jenson’s first place run started with a switch frontboard 270 out on the box, to cab 540 to backside 540 on the jumps, and finished off her run with a switch boardslide 270 out on the down tube. Canada’s Samm Denena came in second incorporating a stylish backside rodeo 540 in her run, with third place going to Michelle Zeller from Colorado.

The afternoon rail jam featured an assortment of 4 rails with a variation of down rails, tubes and close outs. The ladies rode the setup with confidence and threw down impressive tricks. LeJawn Allen from Utah locked down first place with a hardway frontside 180- switch backside 180 out on the down tube, before an epic bail on a later attempt took her out of the contest. Lynn Neil from Utah came close by in second with a switch frontside lipslide 270 off the down tube, followed by Jessika Jenson with a switch boardslide 270 off.

Jennifer Englot took home her second Nixon Style Award of the series with her late backside 180’s, and Jessica Gibson claimed the VonZipper Ragdoll award and a brand new pair of goggles for her efforts.

Riders from all over the globe gathered in Ischgl to battle it out for the best Grom and Rookie title 2013. In the past year’s we saw one Norwegian after another taking home the top podium spots, however this year it was Jonas Bösiger’s (SUI) time to shine and win the Male Rookie contest. Katerina Vojackova (CZE) won best Female Rookie.

The Ischgl Snowpark hosted the World Rookie Finals for the 6th consecutive time. From the first to the last rider dropping in, the level of riding was extremely high, with all riders pushing their limits in all three runs.

Swiss rider Jonas Bösiger impressed both the judges and the crowd with an absolutely clean run including a Backside Double Cork 1080, a Frontside 720, 50-50 Backside 360 out on the pole kicker, a huge Method on the hip, a Backside Boardslide and a Frontside 50-50 Front 360 out on the multi jib obstacle. This run made him the WSF World Rookie Champion 2013 and got him an invitation to the next Air & Style event. Katerina Vojackova from the Czech Republic was in it to win it and proved her skills by throwing down a huge Backside and Frontside 360, a 50-50 Indy on the pole kicker, a Backside Air on the hip, as well as a Backside Boardslide and Frontside Tailslide to Fakie on the final jib obstacle. Thanks to this run, Katerina was crowned WSF World Rookie Champion 2013.

The Male Grom category was dominated by Norwegian Isak Ulstein. His winning run featured a Backside 720, Backside Rodeo 540, Halfcab Mute, 50-50 to Backside Noseblunt and Frontside 50-50 to Frontside 360 out. Taelor Mattingley from the US won Best Female Grom with a Stalefish, Backside 360, Method, a Frontside Air on the hip, 50-50 and 50-50 Noseslide on the jib obstacles.

“I saw an incredible level of riding at today’s finals. I knew the rookies here were good, but I didn't expect such a high level” said Air & Style founder Andrew Hourmont at the prize giving. “Some of these rookies already ride like Pros.” ended Andrew.

Pancochova won the contest in her second run with an outstanding performance on both the jumps and rails, pulling tricks like a half-Cab 50-50 backside 360 off the barrel and a switch 540 for a score of 92. Christy Prior, who landed a frontside rodeo 720, came in second with a score of 90. X Games Champion, Silje Norendal, finished third with an 87.75.

“I did the best run of my life today. It was a great season-ending competition and it was so fun to be out here with these girls on a course we designed and voted on,” said Pancochova. “The conditions today were perfect: the weather, the course, the vibe. All of that contributed to what I was able to do today, and I can’t wait to compete in the Supergirl Snow Pro next year.”

The event supported eco-awareness and sustainability efforts through organizations like the Non-Toxic Revolution, Keep-A-Breast, Protect Our Winters, Plastic Pollution Coalition, 5Gyres and One Life.

This is the first event of the 2013 Supergirl Jam Series, the action sports industry’s only large-scale all-female competition and lifestyle series. Developed as a celebration of female empowerment, the Supergirl Jam Series features more than 150 top female pros competing in snowboarding, skateboarding and surfing as well as ‘girl-power’ activities at events held throughout

the year.“

“The world’s best female snowboarders put on an absolutely amazing display today,” said Rick Bratman, CEO of ASA Entertainment , the event’s management company. “We could not be more pleased with the event and we are very proud to have supported these talented ladies alongside our partners Warner Bros. Consumer Products, Paul Mitchell, Warner Bros. Television's Suburgatory, Kicker Audio, GoPro, Community Cup and Breckenridge Ski Resort.”

The Supergirl Snow Pro in conjunction with the Community Cup will be broadcast nationally on Fox Sports Net (FSN) in the fall. Stay tuned to www.SupergirlJam.com, www.Community-Cup.com and www.asaentertainment.com for show times and dates.

Admission to the event, which will take place on April 6, 2013, is free to the public.

The event will serve as a showcase for the best of womenʼs snowboarding in a contest completely designed by the riders. While 2013 marks the first Supergirl Snow Pro and Community Cup partnership at Breck, the event marks the seventh year of the Supergirl Jam Series womenʼs snowboarding competition.

“The past several years has seen huge progression in female snowboarding and we wanted to provide a platform for these dynamic women to reach an even broader audience,” said Rick Bratman, CEO of ASA Entertainment, the eventʼs management company. “The fact that there were no major all-girls WST events in the US was a real injustice, and we felt that it was important to take this bold step in support of womenʼs snowboarding. We are so pleased to partner with Breck, the Community Cup, Warner Bros Consumer Products and the worldʼs top pros to create this historic event.”

”I am really excited about this event,” said Chanelle Sladics, pro snowboarder and founder of the Community Cup. “It makes a lot of sense to join forces with Supergirl, as we are both passionate about supporting women in sport and inspiring future athletes. Bringing a rider- designed course combined with eco-awareness, music and sustainability efforts is a great addition to the existing series. It is going to be huge for the sport to showcase womenʼs snowboarding with this much TV coverage and insight into the riders.”

In addition to the best female snowboarders on the planet, the event will feature music, yoga workshops and other female-inspired activities. The event supports eco-awareness and sustainability efforts through organizations like the Non-Toxic Revolution, Keep-A- Breast, Protect Our Winters, Plastic Pollution Coalition, 5Gyres and One Life.

Twenty-five of the top snowboarders in the world will compete in the event, including stars Spencer OʼBrien, Torah Bright, Kjersti Buaas, Sarka Pancochova, Silje Norendal, Sina Candrian, Christy Prior, Shelly Gotlieb, Celia Miller, Cilka Sadar, Helene Olafsen, Silvia Mittermuller, Aimee Fuller, Rebecca Torr, Ste

“Womenʼs snowboarding is progressing at high speed, with a lot of potential to grow. With the right course we can take it to the next level with style, tricks, and variety. It will be powerful for us women to have the TV follow the stories behind our riding, and reach a new audience,” said professional snowboarder Kjersti Buaas.

“This is going to be so cool to compete at an event that inspires the public to learn about ways to join the pro snowboarders in supporting the environment. I am also stoked to have a course built to specifically showcase the progressive tricks of women rather than adapting to a menʼs course,” said professional snowboarder Sarka Pancochova.

“The best female shredders will be there competing head-to-head as well as creating eco awareness and raising money for non-profits like Keep-a-Breast/Non-Toxic Revolution and more. This event is a wonderful platform for shredding, spreading awareness, and fun,” said pro snowboarder Torah Bright.

This is the first event of the 2013 Supergirl Jam Series, the action sports industryʼs only large-scale all-female competition and lifestyle series. Developed as a celebration of female empowerment, the Supergirl Jam Series features more than 150 top female pros competing in snowboarding, skateboarding and surfing as well as ʻgirl-powerʼ activities at events held throughout the year.

“Weʼre thrilled to be bringing the renowned symbol of female empowerment, the Supergirl S-Shield, to the slopes for the first time ever,” said Karen McTier, executive vice president, domestic sales and worldwide marketing, Warner Bros. Consumer Products. “The Supergirl Snow Pro will bring together some of the best female athletes in the world as they vie for the top spot by showing off their snowboarding super powers.”

The event coincides with a live concert by the Mighty Mighty Bosstones as part of Breckʼs Spring Fever Festival and will have an eco village with green workshops as part of its commitment to eco-awareness and sustainability.

The Supergirl Snow Pro in conjunction with the Community Cup will be broadcast nationally on Fox Sports Net (FSN) in the fall. Stay tuned to www.SupergirlJam.com, www.Community-Cup.com and www.asaentertainment.com for show times and dates.

This year the Total Fight upgraded to 5 stars on the World Snowboard Tour making it one of the season’s most globally anticipated slopestyle events.

This year’s slopestyle started off with a rail zone which consisted of a choice between a 6 metre rail or a rail king, followed by a down box with a 5 metre gap or a wallride, followed by the line of three kickers. All the riders had to show their best skills on the varying spring conditions to win the final prize.

American domination in the qualifiers:

During the qualifying sessions, the Americans Seth Hill and Eric Willett came out on top.

The qualifiers were divided into two groups of 29 riders who each had two rounds, with the best round counting. Each group was distilled to 12 creating a total of 24 riders for the Grandvalira Total Fight 2013 finals.

A Canadian Victory

The weather was temperamental for today’s finals; a mixture of snow, rain, wind and sun accompanied the riders throughout the day. The 24 finalists were pitched against each other in pairs, with only two rounds to prove their skills and knock out their rivals. The pairing, which depended on the previous day’s scores, went as such: Janne Korpi against Seth Hill, Tor Lundstrom against Brage Richenberg, Jon Versteeg against Eric Willett, Jeremy Thompson against Charles Reid, Marco Grigis against Aleksi Partanen, Simon Gruber against Ville Uotila, Tyler Nicholson against Spencer Link, Ian Thorley against Eric Beauchemin, Peter Horak against Mans Hedberg, Robby Balharry against Nuuti Niemela, Kevin Backstrom against Simen Neraker and Kevin Kok against Markku Koski. The 12 riders who made it to the final were: Seth Hill, Brage Richenberg, Eric Willett, Charles Reid, Aleksi Partanen, Ville Uotila, Tyler Nicholson, Eric Beauchemin, Mans Hedberg, Nuuti Niemela, Kevin Backstrom y Kevin Kok.

Thanks to mother nature’s shaky mood today, the weather got wilder and wilder making the visibilty close to zero, meaning that, despite the shapers hard work, the slopestyle was getting slower and the finalists couldn’t make it to the jumps. Just as it looked like the weather was getting her way and ending the Total Fight prematurely, the sun came out and the competition continued. Unfortunately, the tardiness meant that the judging system had to be changed and the 12 finalists only had two rounds to win the competition.

This year’s hands down Grandvalira Total Fight 2013 winner was the Canadian Charles Reid, who won with a spectacular round which started off with a G

ap Front 270 Front Board followed by a Gap Front Boad to Fakie, Cab Double Cork Mute 900 and sweetly polished off with a Back Rodeo 5 Melon.

The American Willett came close to the Canadian with a round that started off with a Front 270 Front Board followed by a Front Board, Front Mute and finished by a Back Rodeo 5 Melon

Swedish star Kevin Backstrom came third with an epic round: a Gap Front Lip followed by a Backside 50-50 Front 180 Off, Cab 900 Melon and finished by a Back 720 Mute.

22-year-old Charles Reid, a resident of Mont-Tremblant (Quebec, Canada) said:

“It feels pretty good to get up on the podium and win first prize, even more so when it’s a TTR event like this. I didn’t expect to win the competition but I had a lot of confidence in my tricks. The circuit was incredible, you could get a lot of speed, it was really good. I’ll be back next year for sure!”

The first fifteen winners shared 40.000 € of cash between them. The first three won 15.000 €, 10.000 € and 5.000 € respectively.
